47 years ago today, long-sought-after indepen dence , marking the birth of the nation of  Bangl adesh .  Today,  Bangl adeshi   people will celebrate the history and traditions of their country with parades, ceremonies,  and music, all set against a backdrop festooned with decorations by day and lit up with the national c olors by night. .     Today’s Doodle commemorates the day with a depiction of the Bangladesh flag waving proudly over the landscape.
